The buttocks are one of the most important parts of our body from the sensual point of view. The absence of volume in them gives a more android aspect to the female figure.

The gluteal lipo-injection is one of the best and safest procedures to lift and improve the gluteal contour, never use substances such as biopolymers or methacrylate since it is clearly demonstrated that they are highly harmful to the body even years after being placed.

To be a good candidate for buttock augmentation or gluteoplasty, you must have a real expectation of what the procedure can do for each patient.

The extracted fat is concentrated by decanting, filtering or centrifugation. It is then place in special needles to be injected and thus remodel regions such as the buttocks and breast.

During the first year, the injected fat can be reabsorbed between 30 and 70% depending on the site infiltrated, the technique for preparing the fat and the form of injection. In spite of this, the fat graft that remains allows excellent results in the vast majority cases.

AFTER SURGERY

It is important that you follow some guidelines for successful work:

  • You should not sit directly on your buttocks for up to two weeks.
  • Avoid unnecessary strenuous sports or movement for at least two weeks after surgery. This is to prevent possible bleeding, bruising or swelling. You will be able to do these activities four weeks after the procedure.

After the procedure, a compression garment may be required anywhere in the body where fat has been removed.

The first checkup is scheduled 48 hours after surgery, the next checkups will be weekly.

RISKS

No one surgery is without risks because each organism reacts differently. In the vast majority of cases the evolution is completely satisfactory but a small group of patiens may present some alteration that treated in a timely manner should not represent a major inconvenience. It is the obligation of every patient to know the risks inherent to their surgical intervention and it is the duty of the doctor to explain them during the consultation. Feel free to ask any question about it, because the better informed you are, the better the result will get.

  • Fat reabsorption: on rare occasions, the total reabsorption of the injected fat can be observed, with which the gluteal region would return to its pre-surgical state. This is infrequent.
  • Hematomas: hematomas may occur as a result of the trauma performed by the cannula during suction-injection. There hematomas resolve spontaneously and do not represent a major risk.
  • Gluteal asymmetry: differences in the volume of each gluteus. It’s infrequent and due to a greater reabsorption of fat on one of the two sides.
  • Fatty infections and thromboembolisms: extremely infrequent.
